Young-Williams Animal Center and the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley are partnering for a “Home for the Holidays” adoption special, sponsored by Grayson Subaru. From Dec. 21-23, all pets at Young-Williams Animal Center and the Humane Society locations will be $25.

Young-Williams Animal Center will join the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and Subaru of America, Inc. for the annual year-end Subaru “Share the Love” event and celebration (www.subaru.com/share-the-love.html). As part of this national effort, Young-Williams Animal Center and Grayson Subaru have teamed up to offer a three-day adoption special Dec. 4-6.

Today, Young-Williams Animal Center unveiled a memorial in honor of Knoxville Police Department K-9 Argo, one of the department’s most distinguished police dogs. A stone engraved with Argo’s years of service was placed in Young-Williams Animal Center’s Memorial Garden.

Score a victory for the home team when you adopt a new pet at Young-Williams Animal Center during the Tennessee Tailgate adoption special, which starts Friday, Sept. 4, and runs through Labor Day.

For community members looking for a furry friend, Young-Williams Animal Center encourages potential pet owners to “wait” no longer.

Armada Bar, a locally owned establishment at 116 S. Central Street in the Old City, has partnered with Young-Williams Animal Center for the second summer in a row to raise money for the shelter in August.

Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes are some of the most at-risk pets entering U.S. shelters each year. Young-Williams Animal Center, with funding support from PetSmart Charities, the largest funder of animal welfare efforts in North America, is addressing the problem by introducing the “Cherish Your Chihuahua ” spay/neuter campaign.

When Young-Williams Animal Center opens tomorrow, July 10, the Feline Palooza adoption special will begin. Adoption fees for kittens younger than 5 months will be reduced to $75, and cats older than 5 months will be free.

Young-Williams Animal Center is celebrating July 4 with an adoption special to give pets the independence from shelter life that they deserve.

Clancy’s Tavern & Whiskey House has partnered with Young-Williams Animal Center to help raise money for the shelter on Saturday, June 20, during “Cocktails for a Cause.”
