Today, 65 physician assistant students – the sixth class to graduate from South College – received their master’s degrees at the Tennessee Theatre.

South College School of Pharmacy students are learning to fill prescriptions to treat a multitude of diseases and illness. However, they also want to help prevent community members from ending up at their counter.

South College graduates, joined by family and friends at the historic Tennessee Theatre, listened to U.S. Rep. John J. Duncan Jr. deliver the keynote address Saturday at the commencement ceremony.

Today, South College-Asheville announces two new bachelor’s degree programs and is now enrolling students to begin classes May 12 in business administration and criminal justice.

The South College Professional Brewing Science certificate program will graduate its first class on Thursday, April 3, at 6:30 p.m.

South College School of Pharmacy students are immersed in learning about prescription medications, but they also promote wellness in hopes of preventing diseases that cause the public to have to visit them.

The South College Professional Brewing Science certificate program will sponsor the third annual Tennessee Winter Beer Fest at the Laurel Valley Country Club in Townsend. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the New Hope Blount County Children’s Advocacy Center.

South College School of Pharmacy students are learning to fill prescription medications, yet they are reversing the process and taking them back on Saturday, Oct. 26.

For the third consecutive year, the South College nursing program boasts a 100 percent pass rate for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam. It is the only program in the state to achieve a perfect record over that time period.

South College-Asheville recently named Nick South executive director. South, former director of project development for the South College School of Pharmacy in Knoxville, Tenn., will oversee business affairs for the growing campus.
