KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (March 4, 2015) – Pilot presented a donation today of $30,000 to The Salvation Army from money raised during the annual Red Kettle Campaign.

Pilot Flying J has announced that Sandia Park, New Mexico, resident and professional driver Kyle Cones is the 2014 Road Warrior winner. As the winner, Cones, a U.S. Army veteran and driver for Pride Transport, will receive a $10,000 check from Pilot Flying J.

Pilot Logistics Services and Thomas Petroleum announce the completion of their merger to form the premier provider of fuel, lubricants and chemical solutions to the North American energy, mining and marine industries. The combined organization will operate as Pilot Thomas Logistics, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas.

In recognition of all those who have served in the U.S. armed forces, Pilot Flying J will donate 10 percent of its proceeds from the sale of coffee and hot beverages on Veterans Day to the Fisher House Foundation.

Today, Pilot presented substantial donations to two local nonprofits, Emerald Youth Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The fundraising efforts stem from customer purchase of paper fliers for each organization that sold for $1 at Pilot stores throughout the community. Together, the checks presented total over $25,000.

In just three days, “Pilot Celebrity Pumpers” raised a record-breaking $89,400 for the United Way of Greater Knoxville, surpassing the previous record of $86,200, set in 2013, by $3,200.

For the first time in its history, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has named a college in recognition of an alumnus and donor.

Pilot Flying J, the largest operator of travel centers and travel plazas in North America, is offering free daily showers to all drivers who pump more than 500 gallons of fuel in a month.
