Mickey Mallonee has been named estate manager for Villa Collina, a 37,000-square-foot waterfront mansion in Knoxville.
Mallonee will oversee maintenance, upkeep and renovations at Villa Collina, the largest home in Tennessee and the 87th largest home in the country. She has extensive experience in handling large projects, including serving in two Knoxville mayoral administrations and as manager of Historic Westwood for Knox Heritage.
Due to significant interest in the iconic mansion, owner Dr. Eric W. Barton, president and CEO of Vanquish Worldwide, plans to periodically invite select nonprofit organizations to hold fundraisers at his home. Mallonee also will provide planning support for these events.
“Mickey understands the scope of such a large property and will oversee the estate,” Barton said. “She is well-known to the Knoxville community and puts a recognizable face to Villa Collina.”
Mallonee, a Knoxville native, also worked for the City of Knoxville and the Arts Council of Greater Knoxville, precursor to the Arts & Culture Alliance. She served in protocol for the U.S. Air Force and as president of the Officers’ Wives’ Club at several locations, where she arranged and coordinated visits of national and international dignitaries.
“Villa Collina is a majestic mansion and a showcase home in Knoxville,” Mallonee said. “I am delighted to be a part of its resurgence.”
The 50-room mansion, located on Lyons View Pike, has eight bedrooms, 11 full and five half bathrooms, commercial-grade kitchen, three-story library, 2,600-square-foot wine cellar, 11 fireplaces, indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, spa, sauna, dance floor, elevator, home theater, six-car garage, secluded guest suite and staff quarters. Its $5 million master suite was featured on HGTV’s “Million Dollar Rooms.”
