The Trust Company of Tennessee Senior Vice President Sheryl Linck has earned the Certified Exit Planner (CExP™) certification from the Business Enterprise Institute (BEI).
Founded in 1987 and with offices in Chattanooga, Knoxville and the Tri-Cities, The Trust Company of Tennessee currently has more than $4.5 billion under management. The firm helps individuals, families, business owners and nonprofits make better financial decisions through wealth management, personal investment strategy, corporate retirement plans, estate planning and personal trust services.
Linck completed the 18-month program through a three-part process that included a boot camp, 15 advanced exit planning training sessions and 40 hours of graded case study work. Her case study responses led BEI to invite her to help with the program, and she will be a guest speaker for future students working to obtain the certification.
“Sheryl has been a catalyst in expanding our business advisory services, and this certification provides her with more tools to help clients who are planning the future of their businesses,” said Daniel Carter, president of The Trust Company of Tennessee. “We’re also excited – but not surprised – for her to be selected to teach future classes. The way she coaches business owners in a smart and compassionate way is a great skill to pass along to future exit planners.”
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Sheryl attended Duquesne University and earned both a bachelor’s degree in business administration and Master of Business Administration (MBA). In addition to CExP certification, she’s obtained Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) certification and a Certificate in Negotiation from Harvard Law School.
