
The Trust Company of Tennessee has hired Katie Willocks as client specialist while two team members have earned promotions. Alex Butler now serves as information security officer and Caid Kear as senior portfolio analyst.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from the University of Tennessee with concentrations in Africana Studies and Hispanic studies and is certified by La Vanguardia Academy as a fundraising professional. She has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, previously serving as director of development at Centro Hispano de East Tennessee. She is a member of the Leadership Knoxville Class of 2023 and 2024 Mosaic Fellows, south cohort. She serves on the board for the Great Smoky Mountain Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Tennessee.
Butler, who joined The Trust Company of Tennessee in 2020, will ensure that team members have access to the technology resources needed to work efficiently, providing strategic leadership and enhanced focus on initiatives aimed at safeguarding technology systems.
Kear has been with firm since 2021 and will continue to play a key role in supporting client service teams with asset management activities while also contributing to the training and development of portfolio analysts.
