Camden Baker, an assistant project manager for The Christman Company, has earned “Top Construction Professionals Under 40” honors from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Greater Tennessee Chapter.
Baker, who joined The Christman Company in 2023 as a project engineer and was promoted in May 2024 to his current position, was one of just 10 construction professionals honored by the Tennessee chapter at its awards ceremony last December in Nashville.
“Camden has quickly established himself as a talented young professional in the construction industry,” said Marty Gibbs, senior vice president and general manager for Christman’s operations in Knoxville. “This statewide recognition reflects his commitment to his craft and to our company’s operations. We congratulate Camden for this well-deserved honor.”
The young professionals who received the honor demonstrated exceptional leadership, career achievements and dedication to safety, education and innovation in shaping the future of construction.
Baker graduated from The University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in construction science and management in 2022 and served as president of the Construction Science Club while in college. He also has served as the East Tennessee chair for the ABC Greater Tennessee Emerging Leaders board of directors.
“I am grateful to be honored by my peers and especially want to thank The Christman Company for its support,” Baker said. “I was an intern for Christman while still in college and was given the opportunity to work on UT’s Energy and Environmental Science Research Building (EESRB), UT Tower and Summer Place projects. The internship provided invaluable experience and has helped to propel my career forward.”
Baker continues to be involved in the Summer Place tower and garage renovations and has added Covenant Health’s Fort Loudoun Medical Center expansion and Tennessee Tech University’s New Tucker Stadium West for football to his project list.
