Scott Wilkins has been promoted to senior superintendent at The Christman Company at the contracting firm’s office in Knoxville, Tennessee.
“Scott is committed to fostering a safe, positive and productive work environment for his trade contractor partners and all craft workers while delivering exceptional results to our clients,” said Marty Gibbs, vice president and general manager for The Christman Company’s Knoxville operations. “He also has demonstrated that he is an excellent planner and leader who is able to strategically deliver our most challenging projects.”
Wilkins, who joined Christman in 2019, has 28 years of experience in oversight of large-scale projects, including industrial parks, multi-unit and custom residential and office buildings and municipal and higher education projects.
He played a lead role for Christman on a $17.6 million contract for Southwestern Community College in Sylva, North Carolina. The new health sciences building presented a unique opportunity because it had to be constructed on challenging topography between two existing buildings while the campus remained fully operational.
Wilkins studied construction management at Western Michigan University.
