The Christman Company has promoted Mike Elkington to director of project planning in the construction management and real estate development firm’s office in Knoxville, Tennessee.

“Mike has a wealth of experience across diverse projects throughout the United States, Brazil, Canada and Mexico,” said Marty Gibbs, senior vice president and general manager for The Christman Company’s operations in Knoxville. “His adept communication, attention to detail and collaborative project team approach make him a valuable asset to the clients and projects he serves, and I congratulate him on this deserved promotion and welcome him to the Knoxville team.”
Elkington earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Brigham Young University and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). He has served in leading the estimating and preconstruction planning efforts for multiple project formats and has in-depth preconstruction experience on large, logistically complex and technically demanding projects.
He joined The Christman company in 2016, and is relocating to Knoxville from Greensboro, North Carolina.
