Sweet P’s Barbeque announces March specials and events

Feb. 28, 2017

Sweet P’s Barbeque has several events and specials planned for the month of March. The events and special offers for the two locations include:

March Madness Giveaway – Brackets due Tuesday, March 14

The “Ultimate Tennessee Sports Fan” March Madness giveaway brought to you by Yee-Haw Brewing and Sweet P’s Barbeque kicks off this month. Grand prize is a University of Tennessee vs. Georgia Tech football opener party with Yee-Haw beer and Sweet P’s Barbeque for 20 people delivered to the winner, along with a 55-inch LCD smart TV to watch the game. Fill out your bracket at ESPN.com using group name Sweet P’s Slam Dunkel, and the best bracket wins. Brackets are available starting March 12 and must be filled out by March 14. Let the Madness begin!

Delivery not to exceed a 20-mile radius of Sweet P’s Downtown Dive; employees of Yee-Haw Brewing and Sweet P’s Barbeque are prohibited from winning the March Madness giveaway.

“Taste ‘n’ Toast” benefiting Leukemia and Lymphoma Society – Wednesday, March 15, 5-9 p.m.

Support Frank Murphy of WNOX-FM as he competes in this year’s Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Man and Woman of the Year and enjoy a great meal at this month’s “Taste ‘n’ Toast” at the Downtown Dive. The $15 meal will feature smoked trout, roasted asparagus and sundried tomato, feta and lentil salad. Instead of a beer pairing, this month’s dinner will feature a wine pairing of 1749 Sauvignon Blanc. $5 of every specially created meal will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Sweet P’s also will match the total donations to the nonprofit.

Songwriters in the Soul House – Fifth season launches Wednesday, March 22

Sweet P’s will kick off the fifth season of Songwriters in the Soul House (SWISH) with the return of Tommy Womack from 6-8 p.m. on March 22. The show is free; seating is first-come, first-served.  Sweet P’s Barbeque also has partnered this year with Blackhorse Brewery to offer beer specials on handcrafted ales, including $2 cans during all shows. Born out of our love for original music and a need for family-friendly shows that start early, SWISH is an original in the Knoxville music landscape. The event has featured such artists as Womack, Webb Wilder, Angel Snow, Randall Bramblett and Malcolm Holcolmbe. Tim and Susan Lee host the show every month, including a short performance by the duo before the featured artist.
