The South College Knoxville School of Nursing is ranked No. 1 on the “Best Colleges for Nursing in Tennessee” list for the second year in a row by Niche based on analysis of student reviews and key statistics. The higher education institution also jumped from No. 17 to No. 9 for “Best Colleges for Nursing in America.“

The Niche site lists more than 350 student reviews for the South College nursing programs.
Niche connects students and families to colleges to help them find a good fit. According to Niche, the “Best Colleges for Nursing” ranking is based on analysis of academic admissions, financial and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education, along with millions of reviews from students and alumni. Niche added two additional criteria for 2027 that measure student wellness and future readiness with access to counseling, career services and emerging technologies.
South College has three campuses in Tennessee with two in Knoxville and one in Nashville and provides options for online and Competency Based Education programs to make advancing education accessible for busy professionals.
South College offers nursing programs from the certificate through doctoral levels, including Practical Nursing (PN), Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and Post-Grad Certificates with multiple path offerings at each level.
