South College now eligible for Georgia State Aid, including HOPE Scholarship

Dec. 02, 2025

South College is now an approved institution for some Georgia State Aid programs, including the HOPE Scholarship, Zell Miller Scholarship and the Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant.

South College earns approval to accept Georgia State Aid, including the HOPE Scholarship, Zell Miller Scholarship and the Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant. The institution has Georgia campuses in Atlanta at 2600 Century Parkway NE and Marietta at 1850 Parkway Place.

“We are excited to now be considered an approved institution where eligible students in Georgia can utilize state aid programs available to them, so they can pursue or advance their education and seek meaningful professional opportunities,” said Josh Huffaker, president of South College’s Atlanta and Marietta campuses. “The availability of additional financial assistance options enables us to serve even more students in Georgia.”

Postsecondary institutions must receive approval from the Georgia legislature in order to accept this state aid for students.

Both the HOPE Scholarship and the Zell Miller Scholarship provide funds to help eligible Georgia students pay for tuition at an approved public or private college or university. Each scholarship has different academic achievement and program eligibility requirements.

The Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant (GTEG) helps Georgia students attend eligible private colleges by assisting with tuition costs.

South College also offers additional financial aid for those who qualify, including grants, scholarships and loans, from local, state and federal sources that is outlined at south.edu/admissions/financial-aid.

The institution has participated in the Yellow Ribbon program since 2011 and provides multiple South College education benefits for veterans and active military members, along with dependents and spouses in some circumstances.
