South College Indianapolis held commencement ceremonies on June 20 to celebrate nearly 200 students graduating from healthcare education programs.

South College Indianapolis holds commencement ceremonies June 20, 2025, at the Indiana Historical Society in Indianapolis to celebrate nearly 200 healthcare graduates.

The events took place at the Indiana Historical Society and included remarks from Dr. Shiv Dhar, Dean of Undergraduate Health Professions for South College. Approximately 193 students crossed the stage after successfully completing programs in Nursing, Surgical Technology, Radiography, and Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

“Graduation day is an exciting milestone for our students and a reflection of their commitment and dedication to earning an education that can launch a career in the healthcare profession or lead to greater opportunities for those already established in the field,” said Courtney Martin Sechler, president of the Indianapolis campus. “I congratulate all of our graduates and wish them continued success.”

Student achievements were commemorated through several events including a pinning ceremony for nursing graduates – a symbolic tradition to recognize new nurses in the field.

South College Indianapolis, which opened in 2021, is located at 301 Pennsylvania Parkway and offers healthcare programs from certificate to bachelor levels across several disciplines, including Health Science, Nursing, Imaging Science, Medical Assisting, and Surgical Technology.
