South College Atlanta has expanded its campus by 30,000 square feet to accommodate growing demand for advanced degrees in its Physician Assistant (PA), Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs.

Classes for the graduate-level programs started this week in the expanded space on campus, located at 2600 Century Parkway NE.
“The need for well-educated healthcare practitioners in Atlanta continues to grow, and we have responded by increasing space for classrooms and laboratories to meet the needs of our students,” said Josh Huffaker, president of the South College Atlanta campus. “Not only do we strive to offer programs that are in-demand in the workforce, but we are also committed to providing students the best environment to learn.”
South College Atlanta launched its Physician Assistant master’s program in 2018. A PA degree can be completed in 27 months and includes problem-based learning and practical hands-on clinical labs, along with clinical rotations that are completed at both in- and out-patient settings and specialties.
The Doctor of Physical Therapy program began in 2023, and the first class enrolled in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program started in June 2025. Both programs can be completed in two years for full-time students and offer a hybrid learning model with online courses taught by highly qualified faculty members and immersive learning at the on-campus laboratories with modern equipment.
“Our Atlanta campus is centered in a region that has a tremendous need for healthcare professionals,” South College Chancellor Steve South said. “Our faculty, staff and students strive for excellence every day, and the expansion of the campus will create ideal conditions for our students to succeed and allow us to continue to develop well-qualified graduates.”
