Priority Ambulance, a national company headquartered in East Tennessee, announced today its intention to acquire Seals Ambulance Service, which provides emergency and nonemergency service to communities in Central Indiana. Priority Ambulance plans to close the transaction on or before December 1.

“Seals Ambulance will make a perfect addition to our team because they already share our company’s mission of excellent clinical care and investment in the communities they serve,” Priority Ambulance CEO Bryan Gibson said. “Our communities are our priority, and we are excited to welcome Seals’ Central Indiana network to our family.”

Headquartered in Indianapolis, Seals Ambulance serves Indianapolis and several communities in the Greater Indianapolis area, including Noblesville, Carmel, Fishers, Greenwood, Bedford, Franklin, Tipton, North Vernon, Anderson, Greenfield and Fortville. Seals Ambulance was founded in Fortville, Ind., in 1965 by Ron and Darlene Seals. The company was purchased by their son, Randal Seals, and his wife, Marie, in 1996.

Randal Seals and his leadership team will continue to provide local management of the company. Randal Seals will serve as president, and Seals Ambulance Service will continue to operate under its current name.

“For nearly 50 years, Seals Ambulance has fulfilled its mission to go above and beyond expectations in providing the best emergency medical services and generating positive, trusting relationships with the communities we serve,” Randal Seals said. “Our customers can continue to expect the same excellent patient care that always has been associated with the Seals Ambulance name.”

Seals Ambulance currently employs approximately 225 full-time and 100 part-time EMTs and paramedics. The company has more than 50 ambulances in its fleet.
