Training group runs to start Dec. 7
Register for the 2025 Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon before Dec. 1 to secure lower prices. A scheduled fee increase goes into effect at midnight on the first day of the month. Sign up at runsignup.com/Race/TN/Knoxville/KnoxvilleMarathon for the full marathon, half marathon, four-person relays, 5K and Covenant Kids Run.
“Now is the time to sign up, save and start training,” said Jason Altman, Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon race director. “Even better, as you get ready to start holiday shopping this week, give the gift of a one-of-a-kind experience. By giving a race registration, you can give a loved one the encouragement they may want to set a goal for healthy activity – that comes with an awesome race day, a branded pullover, a finisher medal and more. Kids Run registration comes with the kick-off event at Zoo Knoxville in February and the final one-mile race in April.”
Registration fees will increase Dec. 1 as follows:
- Marathon: $105 to $115
- Half marathon: $90 to $100
- Four-person relay: $65 to $75
- 5K: $40 to $45
- Covenant Kids Run: $25 to $30
Processing fees are additional and added to all registration fees; groups and families may pay less in processing fees per participant when registering for more than one person/race in the same transaction.
Early registration also provides runners with the opportunity to maximize access to free group training runs, which start Saturday, Dec. 7, and continue weekly every Saturday morning through the spring leading up to race weekend. Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon shares timely updates about group runs on its website and social media pages.
“Our free training group runs are for all experience levels and paces,” Altman said. “Join us on Saturdays, starting Dec. 7, through race weekend in April 2025 to connect with other race participants, pace your training alongside experienced and encouraging runners, and achieve your goals.”
The 2025 Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon starts at the Clinch Avenue Viaduct in Knoxville near the iconic Sunsphere, and all races finish in historic World’s Fair Park. The 5K, Covenant Kids Run and Clayton Health and Fitness Expo kick off the weekend on Saturday, April 5.
The full marathon, half marathon and relay race take place Sunday, April 6, beginning at sunrise, capped off by the Pilot Post-Race Party. Friends and family of participants are welcome to gather on the World’s Fair Park lawn to celebrate loved ones who have gone the distance.
Since 2005, the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon has inspired active living and community engagement. Thousands gather in Downtown Knoxville annually including experienced marathoners, recreational runners, company employees, local students and people who cheer them on.
