Professional drivers will have opportunity to visit booth #12256 at MATS conference

Pilot Flying J, the largest operator of travel centers and travel plazas in North America, will offer fun, interactive experiences for professional drivers and all attendees at the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS), March 26-28, in Louisville, Kentucky.

“Our goal when attending MATS is to listen to driver feedback on ways we can continue to make life easier for them while they’re on the road,” said Anne LeZotte, Pilot Flying J communications manager. “MATS also gives us the opportunity to thank drivers face-to-face for their hard work and time on the road. Without professional drivers, our economy would stop moving.”

Pilot Flying J is offering a variety of activities at MATS, as well as giveaways for attendees, such as Road Warrior hats, MyRewards loyalty points and a coupon for either a free coffee or a free fountain drink.

The company also is introducing its new PhilMor Mugs, and drivers at MATS will get a sneak peek at this new offering. All visitors to the Pilot Flying J booth can get a coupon for the purchase of the new mug, and some drivers may win a free PhilMor Mug.

At MATS, drivers can sign up to join TeamPETE, a healthy driver movement “designed by drivers for drivers.” The team is led by Pilot Flying J’s Health Champion Pete Thomas, who is also NBC’s “Biggest Loser” Season 2 At-Home Winner.

TeamPETE is dedicated to sharing driver success stories that feature health-related tips and motivation for other professional drivers; providing Pete’s Picks to help drivers find healthier food choices wherever they travel; and demonstrating the 10-Minute Trucker Tune-Up that allows drivers of every ability level to work out next to their truck.

“Driver health continues to be a priority for Pilot Flying J because it’s a primary focus for many of our friends, customers and colleagues,” LeZotte said. “We continue to offer fresh, quality food options; we’re expanding TeamPETE; and it’s important that we continue the dialogue with drivers about healthy living at MATS and beyond.”

MATS attendees who can solve the Healthy Living word cloud puzzle will receive Pilot Flying J bracelets and reusable grocery bags. Those who solve the puzzle and sign up for TeamPETE are asked to take a photo and upload it to social media using the hashtags: #TeamPETE, #PoweredByPilot and #PilotFlyingJ. By doing so, these drivers also will earn a free Pilot Flying J T-shirt.

Pilot Flying J will be at booth number 12256 at the Mid-America Trucking Show from 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, through 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 28.
