LDA Engineering recently hired Tim Jett as senior project manager to oversee projects and serve clients in the Knoxville, Morristown, Oak Ridge and Chattanooga markets.
“Tim has more than 20 years of experience finding solutions for water-related issues,” said Jason Brooks, CEO of LDA Engineering. “His specialized background in wastewater sewer rehabilitations, as well as his skill in all areas of water engineering and design, will serve our clients well throughout our service area in Tennessee, Southeast Kentucky and Southwest Virginia.”
At LDA Engineering, Jett currently serves as project manager for two projects for the City of Chattanooga: the Citico Creek Interceptor Rehabilitation Project and the Altamont Pump Station and Sewer Rehabilitation Project, a $6 million sewer design and reconstruction. He also manages the City of Morristown’s Barton Springs Sewer Rehabilitation, a $74 million program to reconstruct the sewer infrastructure and eliminate wastewater sanitary sewage overflow.
Jett began his career working at Bechtel National in wastewater engineering for two years before taking a job as superintendent for water and wastewater at Tellico Area Services System (TASS). From 1999 to 2006, Jett worked for Lamar Dunn and Associates, now LDA Engineering, on environmental, water and wastewater projects. Most recently, he worked for CH2M Hill as project manager for KUB’s PACE-10 program, part of a $530 million effort associated with an EPA Consent Decree, before returning to LDA Engineering.
Other notable projects include serving as utility coordinator for a seven-year, $1.1 billion sewer rehabilitation project for the City of Baton Rouge, La. In 2012, Jett served as task leader to design a sewer line for the City of San Antonio, Texas.
Jett holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. He is certified by the National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) and by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) for erosion prevention and sediment control. He is an active member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA).
Jett resides in Loudon County with wife Heather and children, Ella and Dane.
