
Pete Pearson, the CEO of Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic (KOC), has been appointed to serve on the Knoxville Chamber board of directors, which guides the organization’s overall direction and policy stances.
The organization’s mission is to drive regional economic prosperity.
“Being a part of the Knoxville Chamber board provides an opportunity to participate in workforce and economic development efforts to benefit the Knoxville region,” Pearson said. “We are based in Knoxville, provide exceptional orthopaedic care across East Tennessee and want to influence initiatives that promote our vibrant and growing region.”
Pearson will serve a three-year term, which became effective July 1, 2026.
Within the Knoxville Chamber board are five councils of business climate, economic development, infrastructure, innovation and talent. The organization’s five-year strategic vision, Prosperity Through Innovation, leverages innovation to foster a cutting-edge economy that prepares the Knoxville region for the future and moves toward true economic opportunity for all.
Pearson joined KOC as chief operating officer in 2017 and added the role of chief financial officer in 2022. He was selected to serve as KOC’s chief executive officer in 2023. Prior to joining KOC, he served as consulting principal at Pershing Yoakley & Associates P.C. and as an officer in the U.S. Army.
Pearson earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mercer University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Tennessee. He is a fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA), serves on the Board of Commissioners for the Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) and is a member of the Pellissippi State Community College Administrative Professional Technology Advisory Board. Pearson serves as a tnAchieves mentor and has recently served as a mentor for the Leadership Knoxville Scholars program.
