KCDC hires Joe LaCroix as director of information technology

Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation (KCDC) has hired Joe LaCroix as director of information technology (IT).

“Joe brings seasoned IT experience with a valuable concentration in the public sector,” said Ben Bentley, executive director and CEO of KCDC. “His analytical, troubleshooting, managerial and planning skills make Joe a strong complement to our IT department. Additional strength in customer relations combined with his commitment to stringent quality control and regulatory compliance make him a great addition to the KCDC organization.”

In this role, LaCroix will support KCDC’s staff and clients and manage the company’s IT department in all aspects of operations such as systems maintenance, data safeguards and hardware and software maintenance and deployment. He will serve as the technical liaison with external partners while aligning with KCDC’s mission, strategic goals and objectives.

LaCroix has worked in IT for more than 30 years and in IT management for 15 of those years. Prior to joining KCDC, he served as IT manager for the Town of Farragut. He earned a bachelor’s degree in information technology from American InterContinental University and an MBA from Western Governors University.

LaCroix resides in Knox County with his wife Julie and three dogs, Kaos, Maihem,and Commander Cody. In his spare time, he enjoys all two-wheel motorsports including track days, long-distance travel and off-road adventure riding.
