Jessica Ray has joined Moxley Carmichael’s creative department as a graphic and digital media designer.
Ray will conceptualize and develop design solutions for web, social media, digital and print advertising, marketing collateral, printed materials and more to promote clients’ brands and help tell their stories.
“Jessica is an innovative designer with a fresh perspective,” Moxley Carmichael CEO Cynthia Moxley said. “Her artistic talent is a valuable addition to our team and will allow us to further enhance and promote our clients’ brands through creative concepts and compelling design.”
Ray has eight years of graphic design experience and previously worked at the Knoxville News Sentinel, playing a key role in internal and external creative campaigns. She assisted with the acquisition of new advertising campaigns for local businesses across East Tennessee and oversaw the creative process of ad development from concept to campaign execution. Ray also helped implement new procedures that promote sustainability, offering paperless advertising orders and proofing.
Before joining the News Sentinel, Ray worked as the marketing and design director for Natural Alternatives Aveda Salon & Spa, where she created strategies to define and market the Aveda brand and company values across four salon and spa locations.
In addition to her graphic design career, Ray is the proprietor of Luminoddities, an online shop selling jewelry and accessories she handcrafts from antique items.
Originally from Nags Head, North Carolina, Ray fell in love with Knoxville at an early age. She lives in West Knoxville with her husband and four cats. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, exploring new cultures and listening to nearly every genre of music.
