Jenny Bushkell to be honored by Girl Scouts at Trefoil Society Luncheon

The Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians will honor Jenny Bushkell at the Trefoil Society Luncheonto be held at The Foundry, 747 World’s Fair Park Drive, on Thursday, October 26, at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $50 and available for purchase at supportgirlscouts.org. The Trefoil Society Luncheon is named after the trefoil-shaped pin Girl Scouts receive that symbolizes acceptance of ethical leadership values. The Trefoil Society provides financial support to Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians. Annual luncheons are held in each of the council’s three regions.

“Each year, we honor a woman in each region of our council who exemplifies the spirit of Girl Scouting,” said Lynne Fugate, CEO of the Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians. “Jenny Bushkell embraces servant leadership and has a strong sense of community and desire to teach others. She is passionate about her faith and encourages others to find their confidence through her inspirational messages. Jenny is an excellent example for our Girl Scouts, and we are looking forward to honoring her at the Trefoil Society Luncheon.”

Jenny Bushkell has been a Christian Talk Radio personality for seventeen years with TN Media Associates. She hosts the radio show “Crossroads with Jenny Bushkell” where she shares stories of hope and restoration with thousands of listeners each Friday afternoon at 5pm and on her Podcast.  Jenny’s inspirational and encouraging “Moments of Joy” have reached listeners around the world.  She co-hosts the station’s “Bob Bell Show,” where she helps fun and faith come together.

A humorous speaker and Bible teacher, Jenny is enthusiastic about her faith. She encourages others to find confidence in their identity in Jesus and to find God’s plan and purpose for their lives.

Jenny has served primarily in the areas of recovery, women’s ministry and ministering to youth and children for 20 years. She earned a BS in Logistics from the University of Tennessee, which she used in developing a successful sales career until God called her to radio ministry.

She serves on boards of the Metro Drug Coalition, Interfaith Health Clinic, and the advisory board for the Nativity Pageant of Knoxville.  She and her husband, Larry Bushkell, MD, serve on lay ministry teams and in international mission capacities.
