Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians will honor youth advocate and Johnson City Vice Mayor Jenny Brock at the 2026 Trefoil Society Luncheon, an annual fundraising event recognizing women who exemplify the spirit of Girl Scouting.
The luncheon celebrating Brock will be held at the Johnson City Country Club, 1901 E. Unaka Ave., on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $50 and available for purchase at TrefoilSociety.org.
Brock has made significant contributions as an educator, public servant and advocate for education, youth development and outdoor recreation.
“A pillar of the Girl Scouts is making a meaningful impact in the community through leadership,” said Lynne Fugate, CEO of the Girl Scout Council of Southern Appalachians. “Jenny Brock exemplifies those values. We’re honored to recognize a leader who has championed education, wellness and opportunities for young people because she believes investing in our youth creates a stronger future.”
Brock has served on the Johnson City Commission since 2013 and has served as commissioner, vice mayor and mayor. Before joining the commission, she served six years on the Johnson City Board of Education and taught at the elementary, middle school, high school and university levels in health, physical education and exercise physiology.
For more than 17 years, Brock has served as a Level III First Tee head coach, mentoring hundreds of young people through character development and leadership lessons through the game of golf.
She also serves on the board of the Up & At ’Em Foundation, whose annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot raises funds to support youth health and fitness initiatives throughout the community. In recognition of her service, Brock was named the 2024 PGA of America Tri-Cities Person of the Year in Golf.
The Trefoil Society luncheons are named after the trefoil-shaped pin that Girl Scouts receive to symbolize the acceptance of ethical leadership values and are held in the council’s Appalachian Highlands, East Tennessee and Tennessee Valley & North Georgia regions each year.
