The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will perform a FREE, family-friendly concert at the Theatre in the Park in Marvyille, Tenn. this Thursday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by Clayton Homes and Aubrey’s Restaurants, this concert is free and open to the public; no tickets are required.
Who: Maestro James Fellenbaum conducts Picnic in the Park with the Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra, performing music of Strauss, Tchaikovsky and Brahms.
What: Picnic in the Park is a free concert in the community as part of the KSO Education & Community Partnerships initiative. In this free concert, the Knoxville Symphony showcases the talented musicians we have living in Knoxville. This is also a unique way for all those who patron the KSO, especially our Blount County patrons, to experience classical music in a unique outdoor setting.
Musical selections include Strauss’ Voices of Spring Waltzes, Tchaikovsky’s Polonaise, Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No. 5 and other recognizable tunes. KSO Concertmaster Gabriel Lefkowitz will perform a solo on Sarasate’s Ziguenerweisen.

Where: Theatre in the Park, downtown Maryville (located on Lamar Alexander Parkway near the Blount County Courthouse)
Tickets: FREE TO ATTEND; No ticket or reservation is required. This concert is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating.
