
DGA Residential, along with community leaders and partners, officially cut the ribbon April 17 to commemorate the opening of Riverside at Holston, a 96-unit affordable housing community across from Holston River Park.

The Holston Hills development featuring two- and three-bedroom apartments offers a protected view of the park and amenities comparable to market-rate developments, including a clubhouse, playground, business center, fitness center and on-site management.

“We are excited to see this development come to fruition and are proud to offer not just an affordable place to live, but also a genuinely nice place to call home in Knoxville,” said Craig Cobb, vice president of affordable housing for DGA. “All of our units are ENERGY STAR Certified and offer quality finishes and modern amenities.”


Riverside at Holston includes five ADA accessible units among the 48 two-bedroom and 48 three-bedroom apartments. The property welcomes qualified applicants with incomes up to 80 percent of Area Median Income (AMI). In Knoxville, that’s about $64,000 for a family of two and up to $86,000 for a family of five.
The City of Knoxville invested $750,000 toward the development through its Affordable Rental Development Fund.
“We know that housing, and especially affordable housing, is a critical need in our community, and we are committed to addressing that by supporting these opportunities,” Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon said. “These 96 units will go a long way to meet that demand while also offering a great location across from Holston River Park.”
Riverside at Holston accepts tenants with vouchers including Project-Based Vouchers (PBVs) and Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCVs).
