Community invited to free energy and water saving workshop

KUB will host a free energy and water saving workshop that is open to the public on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

The hour-long workshop features demonstrations of steps customers can take to reduce electric and water usage and impact monthly utility bills. Each attendee that completes the workshop will receive a kit with materials to aid in utility efficiency. The kit is valued at $40 and contains LED light bulbs, caulk, faucet aerators and more.

The event is limited to 65 attendees. KUB asks those who wish to attend the workshop to preregister either online at https://www.kub.org/workshops or by calling 865-558-2331.

Attendees must complete the full workshop in order to receive the kit, and the workshop will begin promptly at 6 p.m. Following the workshop, KUB will offer informational booths on topics such as its materials reuse program and how customers may access online advanced meter portals.
