“Rob has knowledge across all construction sectors,” said Marty Gibbs, vice president and general manager for The Christman Company’s operations in Knoxville. “He can manage large and complex projects and has extensive experience in overseeing all safety, quality control and environmental matters.”

Hudson is working in Asheville, North Carolina, at the site of the Asheville Foundry Inn, a 92-room boutique hotel to be operated by Hilton Worldwide’s Curio Collection. Located downtown in an historic district, the project involves the renovation of three existing buildings and construction of two new structures.

Among Hudson’s past projects is a renewable energy laboratory with net-zero energy consumption for the U.S. Department of Energy in Golden, Colorado, that earned the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum Award for New Construction by the U.S. Green Building Council and is considered one of the most energy-efficient buildings in the world.

Hudson holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering/construction from Arizona State University and an Associate of Applied Science in mechanical engineering technology from Niagara County Community College in New York.

He is LEED-certified and was previously honored as the superintendent of the year by the American Subcontractors Association of Arizona and runner-up superintendent of the year by the American Subcontractors Association of Colorado.
