Attendees of The Maker City Summit are encouraged to buy tickets now since they may not be available at the door for the Sunday, Sept. 23, event. The summit is a day of inspiration, practical know-how and dialogue for the maker community to network and learn about growing a successful business.
Only 150 tickets remain for the event, which will be held at The Mill & Mine from 10 a.m-4 p.m. Tickets are $44 in advance, and if any remaining, $50 at the door.
The 2018 summit will feature collaborative panel discussions and hands-on educational workshops. Keynote speakers will address the challenges of running creative micro-businesses, and industry experts will share knowledge about marketing, merchandising, storytelling and social media. Attendees will be able to meet fellow makers with a designated networking time from 4-6 p.m.
All makers from potters to printmakers and designers to distillers are invited to attend The Maker City Summit. Keynote speakers, chosen for their impact on helping their respective maker communities grow, include Chase Reeves, creative director, Fizzle.co; Marianne Canada, executive producer, Discovery and head of HGTV Handmade YouTube channel; and Eric Meyerson, head of marketing at Sensai.
The Mill & Mine is located at 227 West Depot Ave., in downtown Knoxville. For more information about The Maker City Summit and to purchase tickets, visit themakercity.org/summit.
