Asbury Place’s Connie Jennings earns statewide honor

2016 LeadingAge Tennessee honors CNA with caregiver award

LeadingAge Tennessee has selected Connie Jennings, a longtime certified nursing assistant (CNA) with Asbury Place continuing care retirement community in Maryville, as the recipient of its 2016 Excellence in Caring award for caregivers.

The award recognizes a caregiver who has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in the delivery of high-quality resident care services. The category includes caregivers, certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses and registered nurses.

“Connie consistently delivers a high level of care to our residents,” said Marjorie Shonnard, chief operating officer for Asbury Inc., the nonprofit operator of Asbury Place. “We are fortunate to have her and glad to see her service recognized with this award.”

LeadingAge Tennessee is an association of communities and professionals providing housing, health, community and related services for the elderly. The LeadingAge Tennessee awards program honors individuals, organizations and initiatives that embody excellence, leadership, innovation and service.
