“Allen brings more than 20 years of experience in financial management and accounting, with expertise in budgeting, financial operations, strategic planning and organizational leadership, which aligns with the needs of our organization,” said Lynne Fugate, CEO of the Girl Scout Council of the Southern Appalachians. “He is passionate about providing strong financial stewardship to serve Girl Scouts and troops across the region, and we’re so glad to welcome him to our team.”

Rippetoe earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from East Tennessee State University and studied computer science at Walters State Community College. He previously served as vice president of finance for Sevier County Utility District.

He has served as treasurer/secretary of the Natural Gas Distributors Association of East Tennessee and is a graduate of Leadership Sevier.

Rippetoe will overlap through December with retiring CFO Ann Wallace, who has served in the role since 2017.

“We wholeheartedly thank Ann, who has been a steadfast and dedicated leader for Girl Scouts, and wish her well in retirement,” Fugate said. “I am thankful to have Ann and Allen working together for a few weeks to make the transition seamless.”
