The Trust Company of Tennessee’s Chief Legal Officer Stacy Roettger has been elected a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation.
Founded in 1987 and with offices in Chattanooga, Knoxville and the Tri-Cities, The Trust Company of Tennessee currently has more than $4.5 billion under management. The foundation is made up of 840 attorneys, and Roettger joins 26 other attorneys who were invited to join this year. The introduction of new Fellows took place at the annual Fellows’ Dinner in Nashville on April 14.
Fellows are recognized for their dedication to integrity and contributions to the legal profession over a 15+ year career. They also administer a program that has awarded more than $25 million in grants to law-related, public interest projects throughout the state.
Roettger joined The Trust Company of Tennessee in 2007 and has 25 years of experience in business and individual tax planning, focusing on gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax planning. She earned both a Bachelor of Arts in English with highest honors and a Juris Doctorate with a concentration in business transactions with honors from the University of Tennessee, and a Master of Laws (LLM) in taxation from New York University.
She is a member and past president of the Knoxville Estate Planning Council, a graduate of the 2017 class of Leadership Knoxville and a member of the Knoxville Bar Association. She also serves as a trust division committee member of the Tennessee Bar Association and is chair of the board of Tennessee Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection.
