Apr. 04, 2017

Downtown renaissance continues with opening of luxury hotel and residences

With a ceremonial ribbon cutting today, Commercial & Investment Properties President Nicholas G. Cazana formally opened THE TENNESSEAN Personal Luxury Hotel and Residences in downtown Knoxville.

The event drew a crowd of elected officials, community leaders and travel influencers eager to see the city’s newest gem.

“We have been developing properties in Knoxville for more than 25 years and have long dreamed of bringing a signature hotel to downtown Knoxville,” Cazana said. “It’s an honor and privilege to stand before this magnificent property and celebrate achieving that dream.”

Cazana added, “Reservations already on the books promise a bright future and underscore the need for a hotel of this caliber.”

Located in downtown Knoxville at 531 Henley St., THE TENNESSEAN is close to the vibrant shopping and dining of Market Square, the city’s art and theater districts, World’s Fair Park and the University of Tennessee. The City of Knoxville recently installed a covered walkway from the property to the Knoxville Convention Center and renovated the pedestrian bridge over Henley Street.

“As downtown Knoxville continues to flourish, THE TENNESSEAN adds another feather to its cap,” Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero said. “The City of Knoxville is proud to be the home of THE TENNESSEAN.”
