Sweet P’s Barbeque has several events and specials planned for the month of February. The events and special offers for the two locations include:
- Super Bowl Party Pack, now through Sunday, Feb. 5
For a limited time, Sweet P’s is offering the perfect way to celebrate the biggest football game of the year with the Super Bowl Party Pack. The carry-out dinner feeds 10 people and includes three racks of ribs cut into single bones, 50 wings and three orders of pimento cheese dip. The party pack is $120 and is available for pickup at both locations with orders accepted now through Feb. 5.
- Valentine’s Day – Tuesday, Feb. 14, Dinner only
Sweet P’s will offer a special Valentine’s Day menu, which includes a smoked prime rib dinner and two sides for $23. Each location will feature a Valentine’s Day side dish – creamed spinach at the Soul House and horseradish boursin duchess potatoes at the Downtown Dive.
- “Taste ‘n’ Toast” to support Knox Heritage – Wednesday, Feb. 22, 5-9 p.m., Downtown Dive, 410 W. Jackson Ave.
Support Knox Heritage and enjoy a great meal at the Cajun-themed “Taste ‘n’ Toast” at the Downtown Dive. The New Orleans-style pig roast will include a black-eyed pea dish, Dirty Hoppin’ John, and Cajun coleslaw. The $15 meal also will include a beer pairing from Louisiana-based NOLA Brewing Co. Proceeds will support Knox Heritage’s mission of preservation with $5 of every specially created meal donated to the nonprofit. Sweet P’s also will match the total donations to the nonprofit.
- Fat Tuesday Celebration – Tuesday, Feb. 28, Soul House and Downtown Dive
Sweet P’s will celebrate Fat Tuesday with a house-made Boudin and Andouille sausage gumbo featuring chicken, okra and a “swamp funk” roux served over rice at both the Soul House and Downtown Dive. The restaurants will play the world-famous WWOZ live from New Orleans all day, and beads will be available upon request.
