Two-Factor-Authentication
As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding our digital environments and enhancing security measures, we are implementing 2-factor authentication (2FA) for your website! This step is essential in mitigating the risk of cyber-attacks and protecting access to your valuable web property.

1. Install Authenticator App
To facilitate a smooth transition to 2FA, download either the Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator (Apple, Android) app to your phone prior to the activation process.
2. Activation
For users with the role of Admin:
- Navigate to the Wordfence tab (located on the left sidebar of the Wordpress Dashboard)
- Select Login Security
- Open your Microsoft or Google Authenticator app
- To add a new account, select the plus sign, '+' located at the top right or bottom left of your screen
- Select Scan QR Code
- Scan the QR code that is displayed on your computer screen
- Enter the new code given from your authenticator app into the box displayed below and select Activate
- You're done! Once that is complete, you will be asked to verify your identity every 30 days.
For users with the role of Editor, Author, or Contributor:
- Navigate to the Login Security tab (located on the left sidebar of the Wordpress Dashboard)
- Open your Microsoft or Google Authenticator app
- To add a new account, select the plus sign, '+' located at the top right or bottom left of your screen
- Select Scan QR Code
- Scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen
- Enter the new code given from your authenticator app into the box displayed below and select Activate
- You're done! Once that is complete, you will be asked to verify your identity every 30 days.
