Two-Factor-Authentication
As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding our digital environments and enhancing security measures, we are implementing 2-factor authentication (2FA) for your website! This step is essential in mitigating the risk of cyber-attacks and protecting access to your valuable web property.

1. Install Authenticator App
To facilitate a smooth transition to 2FA, download one of the following OTP (one-time password) authenticator apps.
- Google Authenticator
- Authy
- FreeOTP
- LastPass Authenticator
- Duo Mobile
- Microsoft Authenticator
2. Activation
For users with the role of Administrator
- Navigate to the Wordfence tab (located on the left sidebar of the Wordpress Dashboard)
- Select Login Security
- Open your Authenticator app
- Add a new account
- Scan the QR code that is displayed on your computer screen
- Enter the new code given from your authenticator app into the box displayed on the Login Security screen on your computer and select Activate
- Download the backup security code document and store it in a safe place on your device.
- You're done! You will be prompted to verify your identity every 30 days
For users with the role of Editor, Author, or Contributor
For users with the role of Editor, Author, or Contributor:
- Navigate to the 'Login Security' tab (located on the left sidebar of the Wordpress Dashboard)
- Open your Authenticator app.
- Add a new account
- Scan the QR code that is displayed on your computer screen
- Enter the new code given from your authenticator app into the box displayed on the Login Security screen on your computer and select 'Activate'
- Download the backup security code document and store it in a safe place on your device.
- You're done! You will be prompted to verify your identity every 30 days.
